Junior Golf Association of Arizona

The Junior Golf Association of Arizona is open to all boy and girl golfers ages 8-18. Golfers cannot have reached their 19th birthday or entered college to play in tour events. Membership is valid from January-December. If you decide to join this tour, be prepared to be very pro-active in your membership role. A great deal of the scheduling, application processes and information transmitting/receiving is done through the jgaa.org site.

2013 Tournament Information:
Tournament Fee: $55-$130
Application Deadline: Typically 1-2 weeks prior to tournament
Practice Round: Typically the day before the tournament
Boys Division: ages 13-18
Girls Division: ages 13-18
Format: 36-54 Holes, Stroke Play
Field Size: TBD

Championship Yardage:
Men’s Yardage: Varies, 6,400-7,000 (older) & 5,700-6,400 (younger)
Men’s Rating/Slope: Varies, 69-75/115-130
Women’s Yardage: Varies, 5,700-6,300 (older) & 5,000-5,700 (younger)
Women’s Rating/Slope: Varies, 70.8-72/117-125

* Membership to this tour is only $70 a year.
* Visit the “Tournaments” section of the JGAA website often. This is where you will find out your application status and tee time for tournaments.
* If you intend on playing in any JGAA summer events a participation in a “Rules Clinic” is mandatory. An online version is also available where necessary.
* The JGAA chooses a team for each of the following four events, the Boys America’s Cup team, the Girls Americas Cup team, the Eddie Hogan Cup Team Matches and the Mary Cave Cup team. IF YOU WANT TO BE CONSIDERED FOR SELECTION FOR ANY OF THESE EVENTS, you must indicate so at the time you APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP by checking the DECLARATION OF INTENTION box.

Boys and Girls Champion = 1 Exemption (only certain, and not all, events apply for this criteria)
