Junior Amateur Golf Scholars

The Junior Amateur Golf Scholars Tour runs monthly tournaments from September through August. JAGS members are accepted based on their GPA. This tour is out of California.  Membership for this tour will be accepted on the basis of their GPA as follows GOLD: 3.0 GPGA or higher, BRONZE: no GPA requirement.


2013 Tournament Information:

Tournament Fee: $195-$305
Application Deadline: One week prior to tournament
Practice Round: Typically the day before the tournament
Boys Division: ages 10-18
Girls Division: ages 10-18
Format: Typically 36 Holes, Stroke Play
Field Size: TBD

Championship Yardage
Men’s Yardage: Varies, 6,600-7,100
Men’s Rating/Slope: Varies, 73.2-73.3/134
Women’s Yardage: Varies,5,800-6,200
Women’s Rating/Slope: Varies,70.2-71.3/127-130

* You do NOT need to live in California or be a JAGS member to play in tour events
* Depending on your grading system (semester-v-quarter or home schooling), you will be required to submit 2-3 report cards per season to retain membership.
* Even though you don’t have to be a JAGS member to play in their tournaments, members will receive discounted entry fees as well as priority for entering tournaments.
* ONLY playing in the tournaments listed above will earn AJGA exemptions or credit.

Trader Joe’s Presidents Junior Cup – Feb, 2013
Boys Champion = 1 Exemption
Boys Top 5 = 1 performance star
Girls Champion = 1 Exemption
Girls Top 3 = 1 performance star

Spring Junior Open – Apr. 2013
Boys Champion = 1 Exemption
Boys Top 5 = 1 performance star
Girls Champion = 1 Exemption
Girls Top 3 = 1 performance star

ASU Memorial Junior Championship – May 2013
Boys Champion = 1 Exemption
Girls Champion = 1 Exemption
