This prestigious event is named for Kathy Whitworth who holds an all time record for both men’s and women’s career wins on any professional tour with 88 victories. Kathy was the LPGA Player of the Year 7 times and won 6 majors. She was inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame in 1975. Kathy Whitworth established this event in 1999 in order to give the highest level junior girl golfers the opportunity to compete regardless of means and resources. Traditionally this event is played at the Mira Vista Country Club.

* It is the tournament’s goal to build character, leadership and responsibility amongst young women golfers.

* Open to all girls who are a Junior or Senior in High School

Girls Top 3 = Full Exemption
Girls Top 5 = 3 Exemptions
Girls Top 10 = 2 Exemptions
Girls Top 15 = 1 Exemption
